COME SING WITH US!
Founded in 1993, Arizona Women in Tune is a largely undiscovered jewel in the panoply of LGBT performing arts offerings in the Valley of the Sun. Under the gifted direction of Kimilee D. McCreary, M.M., the 60-member choir presents top-quality choral music from a wide range of genres and has performed in several international venues. You won’t find a more diverse and vibrant collection of women in our community!
This season Arizona Women in Tune celebrates her 15th season as a women's community chorus with an emerging presence in the
greater Phoenix arts scene and an active part of the international LGBT choral movement. Singers are diverse in age,
ethnicity, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, and economic and life experience. All singers commit to a
rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule of three major concerts each season.
Rehearsals are on Thursdays, 6:45-9:15pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 801 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix. Auditions are not required; interested singers attend a rehearsal and meet with the Artistic Director to discuss their musical goals and experience. Women in Tune welcomes all women willing to embrace their mission of increased visibility for lesbians, celebrations of the accomplishments of women in music, and the passionate pursuit of artistic excellence.
